Continuing the Tradition

I am pleased to be participating in my first League of New Hampshire Exhibition, Continuing the Tradition. The exhibit will be in the League Gallery found at 49 South Main Street in Concord, New Hampshire. For more information and hours please visit the League of New Hampshire Craftsman website. I have two of my 17th Century inspired cabinet panels on display. I have also created a custom collection of insects and a frog that a fitted with pins, for those wanted to take a bit of whimsey home.

The little beetles are only about an inch long and feature a silk body, brass mesh wings, and silk and metal thread needlelace elytra. They are finished with heads made of leather, silk and metal legs, and peacock feather antennae. I completed a few for the exhibition in a variety of colors. I also added in a small frog and butterfly into my specimen box. The beetles are still my favorite, I shall have to find a home for one on my next cabinet panel.
